TAYLOR LYNCH is an emerging interdisciplinary artist working primarily in printmaking, mixed media drawing, and painting, with some recent ventures into sculpture and photography. She recently returned from Rome, Italy after a year of study, research and travel. She received her BFA from the University of Connecticut and her MFA from Tyler School of the Art at Temple University in Philadelphia. Taylor currently resides in the Portland, OR area.

My work is an intimate exploration of my relationships others, the outside world, and above all, my own psychology. I draw upon my memories, my anxieties, my imagination, and overall, my fluctuating and relational identity. Through these overlapping lenses, as well as my fascination with the physicality of my artistic process, I create non-linear, ambiguous narratives. My mixed media practice, which includes large-scale drawings, drypoint, etching, mezzotint and wax sculpture, demands intensive labor. These mediums are excavated, their surfaces carved, erased, and covered to reveal the possibilities inherent within their changeable surface.
